help!!

okay, two seconds of your time.  if you were buying cloth napkins for your home, what color(s) would you want?

editor's note...could you be specific too?  like what shade of blue?  what do you consider a neutral?  these things will help tremendously!  i know, i'm so picky!

I have no idea other than neutral colors. This is random, but have you thought of looking at the dishes at Target or Bed Bath type places to see what colors would go?

I know that turquoise and brown or tourmaline and chocolate are popular. Hmmm...if it were me, though, I love blue and yellow (dark blue but not navy) or a darker shade of green. I like the idea of looking at Target and Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I bet something in cream and tan would sell although it's not very colorful. I think deep reds are popular now, too. Maybe a red and brown? It doesn't sound pretty in writing, but I've seen some really pretty deep red and chocolate combinations. Hope this helps!

One more thought...you could do solids for mix and match, especially with the more trendy colors. I know I don't necessarily want every napkin to be the same. I might want 2 chocolate and 2 deep red. I need to eat some chocolate now. :-)

I like to have a variety of colors. I'd buy shades of blue, yellow, spring green. I like prints to coordinate with the solid colors so the napkins match but aren't all the same.

Hmm, my kitchen is mostly black and white. I'd like cloth napkins in an interesting black and white print. The fabric bolts at Ikea have fun patterns and are usually a good value/yard.
Also, the fabric/quilt shop in Marietta, Red Hen Fabrics, honors JoAnn's coupons. So, you could save 40% on the high-end fabrics. :)

i like solid white b/c you can always bleach out the stains. and i love the restoration hardware colors - pale blues, greys, sage greens, browns (sandy, not gold-ish).

Deep red; white; taupe/tan; goldenrod or butter yellow.

RED! Is there any other color? Just kidding! I would also buy black or chocolate brown.

I was thinking a funky black and white print too! I think prints would be great fun because I have solid color plates and so many solid table cloths.

it's fun to see everyone's opinions! i am pretty simple. to me it depends on if you are printing/sewing/painting anything on them. if so, i like white or oatmeal- especially with brown stitching on it. i think it's simple and classy. it's also easy to wash. my concern with dark napkins and light stitching is that the cloth color would bleed onto the stitching. but i have no idea what you are going to do with it! anyway- my vote is white and brown...

sage green, brick red/maroon, and gold. If you're making these for the lilburn festival thing, tell me and I'll come buy some!
